place to protect personal information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or

Global Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
Curo collects and holds personal data about individuals in order that they may volunteer for the
CIC or receive our services and information. Personal data identifies an individual. It may include an
individual’s name, postal and email addresses, telephone number and financial details. It also includes an
identifiable person in a photograph or video material. 
Curo Volunteers and prospective volunteers give their consent for Curo to process their data via the online
application process for the purpose of volunteering and supporting our company. In addition to this
permission, we rely on legitimate interest to continue to carry out the CIC’s work. Curo
adheres to GDPR 2018 requirements about personal data. The 2018 regulations put the onus on Curo to
prove that anyone processing data/using Curo data on Curo’s behalf is doing so responsibly and can
demonstrate that they are. This includes simple security, for example, locking away Curo documents or
laptops with Curo data on them when you go on holiday. 

When you provide personal information, such as email address or telephone numbers, to us through our Services, we use “Secure Socket Layers” or SSL to protect your data. SSL is encryption technology that helps safeguard your personal information against misuse by unauthorized individuals.:
